Lopez Lamb, Wool and Goat Festival

10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Free of charge outdoor and indoor events 5:30 p.m. - ticketed dinner prepared by well-known chef Christina Orchid Back by popular demand, this year's festival will expand to include dairy and fiber goats. The day's free outdoor events will include sheep-shearing and sheep dog demonstrations, and various breeds of sheep and goats to see and interact with. Inside the Center there will be a sheep-to-shawl demonstration, felting and dyeing demonstrations, information displays from island agricultural groups, and vendors selling island-grown and made lamb and wool-related products. Popular Orcas Island chef Christina Orchid will present the evening's ticketed dinner, featuring Lopez lamb and fresh organic produce. All proceeds from the dinner and auction will again go to the Lopez Farm-to-School Program.
